Yesterday we drove to the American side of Niagara Falls. We did the Caves of the Winds and the Maid of the Mist, which were both awesome. Fortunately we had beautiful weather. We then hiked along the American side of the Niagara gorge, where there are several consecutive scenic trails. With the out-and-back, we hiked about 9 miles and did about 1000 vertical steps.
Today we crossed to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We did the Wild Water Walk, which has a sequence of boardwalks down near the water level of the Niagara rapids downstream from the falls. It was very impressive. From there, we walked up to the falls on the Canadian side and back, which was almost 6 miles.
