Yesterday afternoon I did my first run since the Marine Corps Marathon 10K race on Sunday. I did 3 mi on the treadmill at 5.8 mph, taking 31:03. I didn't do as many rest breaks on the rails, which was good, and something I'm going to try to continue.
This morning I did Insanity the Asylum Vol. 2 Pure Contact. Afterward, I added on a couple of plyo moves from NROLW that I liked. First, I did the squat with one-arm overhead press, with 25 lb. This move makes me feel like I am strong! Second, I did the reverse wood chop with a 20-lb weight. For both moves, I did 6 reps on each side and 3 sets, with 1 minute rest in between. Overall, this all burned about 170 calories.
