Last night I did my last long run before the Marine Corps Marathon 10K next Sunday. I did 5 miles on the treadmill in 50:00. Again, I increased my speed each 1/5 of time so that I ran at an average of 6.0 mph. This was a tough run - my legs were tired, so I took a lot of breaks. Apparently it's not such a good idea to run after playing 6 hours of tennis the day before, 4 of those hours in back-to-back matches!
This morning I started my taper week for my morning workouts. I did P90X+ Kenpo Cardio+. I burned about 255 calories. There was a very pretty waning crescent Moon outside my kitchen window when I sadly got up well before sunrise.
